Off-portal mobile content booming in US |

The Mobile Marketing Association has reported that the off-portal content business has risen by 400% in the last year to account for an estimated $750m (£375m) in the US alone. The growth has been driven by an increase in the use of the mobile web by mobile content providers and internet brands which is reflected in an 84% growth in the number of SMS shortcodes, bringing the total in use to over 2,000. |
